I decided to give Emma two looks- the hard image as well as the 'pretty girl' look- this could be used to give an insight into what an artist is really like?

Final Decision on Bands

I have decided that instead of the rebellious boys- I am now going to have a bad girl image for one of the girls as my main spread. she will be wearing red lipstick and dressed provocatively- to enhance a 'wild side' attitude.

I'm still gonna have the cutesy type of girl. Maybe i can have a stand off:

Haha, 2013, battle of the lipsticks and the artists who sport it. perhaps I'll include a picture of Peter or something to help create that 'male endorsement' and lustful feature about the magazine?

Music Magazine: Title Page Mock Up

 

I've decided my main target audience is 'tween' women, and have decided my magazine will probably feature more women than men; this is influenced by my music taste, as I listen to many solo female artists.

I want the artists in my magazine to be quirky, fun and rebellious. I am going to use images to demonstrate this.

• Fun, images of laughing
• Quirky, eccentric make-up or dress?
• Rebellious, smoking or drinking- strobe light effect?

How? - Camera angles/framing

What? - Equipment needed to take photos/props?

Time -

• Night-time/evening for more 'rebellious' band?
• Midday- Sunshine for cheery, cutesy female artist? Or the effect of reflective light could be seen as an indie group?

Location -

• For the cutesy girl, she could be photographed getting her make-up done? 
• For an Indie group they could be seen relaxing on a sofa in DFS or running in a shopping isle? 
• For the rebellious guys they could be starting a fire- maybe in 2 shots I could show them starting the fire, then the next shot roasting marshmallows- to show they have a softer side haha. 

People/Why -

• Emma as the 'Cutesy' girl or maybe Grace? They have that 'cute' look, and enjoy a bit of pampering!
• Indie Group? Tommy, Peter and Emma? 
• Rebellious Group? Chris, Dale and Sam? Dale has that look, maybe he'll have to have a solo career. 

Camera Angles-

• Cutesy- Side angle of her having her make-up done (professionally), then shot of her laughing (showing her geekier side), as well as a posed shot.
• Indie - High angle shot, looking down on them on the sofa- like society might do?!
• Rebellious - Low angle shot, as they set the fire? Then a mid-shot watching them sit around it.

Props-

• Cutesy: Make-up, a mirror (maybe try and get light reflecting from this?) someone to make her up.
• Indie: A sofa? Or, a trolley- I think the supermarket run will be easier to disguise- but will still make the 'band' look cheeky.
• Rebellious: Matches! Marshmallows! Sleeping bags/cushions? To make it seem less threatening?
